Fantastic close-up look at TRADING SPACES the widely popular television show. I've watched this show from the beginning and Love it. Picked up this brand new copy at Chapters for $2.99, dropped in price from the original $29.95. Can't get much better than that. From back cover: "TV's most daring designers reveal all! For the first time, the Trading Spaces crew-designers Frank, Laurie, Doug, Hildi, Gen, Vern, Edward, and Kia, plus carpenters Amy Wynn and Ty and host Paige-talk about themselves. Although I perused this book a while back, I didn't get too far into it. It felt rather boring to read and was very wordy. But now that I'm getting into some other books, I took this book up over the course of a few additional days and am actually getting to know a little more about the designers and people who made the Trading Spaces show famous. Yes, it was a little light on details, but those details it did include were more geared towards the biographical nature of each person. But I have to give it to them - they sure tried. In the book Paige by Paige: A Year of Trading Spaces , Paige Davis mentioned how she included details from this diary in this book just as her book was wrapping up, but I read her few page excerpts and it was rather light on details. I read all the designers and people from "Sewing World" and "Carpentry World" (including Ty Pennington) and really went "ga-ga" over what I was reading.

I bought this for $1. I read it in a couple hours. Now putting it on PBS to get rid of it. Highlights: Learning designer Frank Bielec and his wife Judy own Mosey 'n Me Cross Stitch design company. She turns his artwork into cross stitch designs. Horrifying Fact: Designer Doug Wilson once cut his toenails with a homeowner's steak knife!

Looked out of date and just sort of tacky fixes, but a few good ideas.

It's kind of a scrapbook for TS fans - and I'm one. Got it on clearance in a bookstore in FL.
