Upon her arrival at Jet’s ancestor’s home she was informed that she was to repay a debt owed to his family by her family for centuries. The story went on to follow Nila in her captivity; the power struggle and sexual tension that ensued followed by an emotional connection while she was forced to make cruel payments on the debt while falling in love with her captor. Final Debt (book 6) covers the last leg of Nila and Jethros’s journey with the repayment of the final debt. It’s a centuries’ old menacing game of legacy, vengeance, lies, deceit, power, greed, violence also marking the end of many things. Amidst all this darkness an epic love has blossomed. This is a battle, the battle, a full on war and a race against time… The Jethro Hawk, Jet! A product of an abusive upbringing he learned early on to coop with his destiny, all traces of goodness obliterated, until Nila. Nine words to describe Nila Weaver, Threads: Naïve, focused, impressionable, frail, spirited, feisty, confused, calculated and strong. Final Debt, told from dual POVs with its modern day fairytale with raw, dark and intense twists. What cannot be denied is that Jet and Nila are destined to be together while reality is set on tearing them apart. Story ends with truth, twists, hope, love and sorrow leading right to part 7, Indebted Epilogue for the conclusion and final pieces in the puzzle that is Jethro and Nila. Spellbinding story-telling! 4.5 Stars!! **SPOILER FREE REVIEW** “Final Debt” is the sixth installment in Pepper Winter’s dark series entitled “Indebted” and like its predecessors it picks up right where the last book ended. I’m glad and sad at the same time this series came to an end. It was without a doubt one of the most intriguing, unconventional series I have ever read. Almost every book in the series kept me at the edge of my seat and I can honestly say every one of them was a fascinating mix of suspense, mystery and steam. This installment was one of the best installments in the series, if not the best, the most intense and the most emotional IMO. I think it was the longest in the series and while I don’t like my reads to be too long, I truly enjoyed every minute of it. It was brutal, full of twists and turns, (some of them actually left me with my mouth hanging open), but it also was romantic at times. Needless to say I felt so much reading this sixth installment. There were happy times that warmed my heat and made me smile, but there were also sad times when my heart broke for these characters. This author’s definitely knows how to play with readers’ emotions. While all the previous installments are written in dual POV, this installment is told from multiple points of view and I absolutely loved this aspect of the story. So, in some way this installment is not only about Jethro and Nila, the two MC of this series, but also about all the supportive characters we previously met. Needless to say all your questions about these characters will be answered. Another aspect I loved was how everything (the ‘feud’ between the Weavers and the Hawks started, who was the first Hawk woman who started everything, how she sacrificed for her loved ones and so much more) was revealed. So much happens in this installment and let me tell you, the pace of the story was just perfect. Not a single part of the story was unnecessarily dragged out or rushed. Nila was so much better than in the previous book in the series. She proved that she can’t fight – for her life, for Jethro and also for their love and I enjoyed her character development. With Jethro she was loving, sweet, gentle and even protective and for that I liked her very much. She gave him strength to accept his condition, to feel worthy of her love, to become a survivor. Jethro was in this installment the hero I wanted him to be. He definitely wasn't the perfect, usual hero in this series. He has his flaws and these flaws certainly made him a more interesting, honest character. I loved how he was everything Nila needed – her friend, her lover, her protector, her everything. I loved how he accepted that he’s ‘normal’, that being different is not necessarily a bad thing. I also loved that he found himself and also that he ultimately found peace. I'm not gonna telly anything about the villains...only that they were as fascinating as the two MC of the series. You will hate them, but maybe at times you will also feel compassion for them. Who knows? Overall, a fantastic conclusion to this series that keep me glued to the pages from start to finish!

And we’d fulfilled that prophecy by falling head over fucking heels.” Jethro Final Debt is the last installment of this captivating series. I wasn’t sure what to except going into this but what I read defiantly exceeded my expectation. This book, just WOW was absolutely amazing packed with suspense, action, and love yes sweet love. All the secrets finally came out and so many things happened I was a complete anxious mess. My anxiety levels were high up in the sky with all the events and boy did we get an unforgettable finale?! Oh YES we do. It was completely worth the wait and heart break we endured during the series. I am so sad this series has come to an ending but also because there was one part on this book that completely utterly broke me for life. I don’t know that it had to happen but it made this book so much memorable defiantly something I would never forget and cry all my life over it. This book picks up right where book five ended; the beginning was so depressing I desperately wanted, needed salvation a miracle or something. Nila Weaver was taken from London by Cut and Daniel to Africa; she was alone and had no hope in surviving this madness. However; she wasn’t giving up this fight so easily. No matter how much torture she endured she continue to fight because love and hope was much stronger than death. Nila was so much stronger on this book; she was a total badass I adore her for it. She had grown so much from the beginning and made this book an epic story with her amazing survivor actions. “I was alive. I was dead. I was reborn.” Nila Jethro Hawk was under a time bomb; he thought he had time to save his love ones. He had a plan but time was always against him. He was desperate trying to save the love of his life and his brother and sister from his evil family. The extend of what he went through to rescue Nila and saved his family gutted me. My man got hurt, injured, flew countries to try to save her and at omg the anxieties were so high I was biting my nails the entire time. My heart was in my throat I was a mess. “I would breathe, but I would die….My heart would split open…I knew what hell was.” Jethro He finally finds Nila and they had amazing heated moments I was trying to enjoy it but at the same time I was freaking out like watching a scary movie where the monster is coming right behind them and if they don’t run fast enough they will die?! Yeah I felt like that the entire time. It was a total roller coaster ride. However; in the midst of it all they managed to keep their hopes and love alive. “I kissed her. The instant my lips touched hers, it was if a nuclear explosion mushroomed inside her.” Jethro You do not want to miss out on this EPIC finale. The author manages to suck you into this book from beginning to end. This book is an endless roller coaster ride that will have you on the edge of your seat cheering for your favorite team Nila and Jethro. So many things happened I cannot tell you enough how much I loved this final book. It was the best; it had everything we have been wanting from the beginning of the series and you will not be disappointing the way the author managed to put this finally together. Final Debt was a complete stunning ending and it will forever stay in my heart, it sealed the ending of the Debt Inheritance series and it was the best. “We each had our craters and defects from war. But we would wear them with pride.” Nila Book series order: PURCHASE LINKS: Amazon: http://amzn.to/1RdyQRp Amazon UK:http://amzn.to/1RdyVVo iBooks: http://apple.co/1KzTLqJ Barnes & Noble: http://bit.ly/1Yl9Utp Kobo: http://bit.ly/1OWzm6U Google Play: http://bit.ly/1Lrh31X Paperback: http://amzn.to/1Rdz2Af For more reviews/reveals/giveaways visit:

"I should have saved you the first time I saw you." "You did save me." "How?" "You fell in love with me." Friends, Enemies, Heroes, Villains, Foes. Good and bad. Love and hate. Abuser and victim. Hunter and prey. All those meanings seem to blur while reading this series. The hate becomes love, the villain can become the hero and the victim can get back on top and take revenge. That's how it started everything in the end, isn't it? Once upon a time, the Hawks were serving the Weavers, suffering under their hands, until they got to be on top and sign the Debt Inheritance, with which they got revenge for all their suffering and then Weavers became their victims. So, bottom line, they are all blurred lines and nothing is solidified. In this one, we got more insight on some characters that weren't so developed on purpose and we finally got to see what was hidden behind their actions. What turned them out to be what they were when Nila met them. We got to learn so many secrets, so many new aspects to the stories. Secrets of the past that could have changed everything. Secrets well hidden serving a purpose. And now that the series is completed and we finished Jethro & Nila's story, I'm grateful for Pepper giving life to these characters and their story, but I'm feeling a gap inside. This was my most anticipated series this year and every new release was having me salivate and swing my tail happily, ready to devour the new book and ready to learn more about this messed up story of love and debts. Now that it's over, I feel bittersweet. I know this moment would have come, but I don't know how to say goodbye. I'm sitting here, wishing we would get Cut's & Emma's story or Jasmine's & Vaughn's, a new novella maybe in the future. Ungrateful little reader I am. I got a surprise extended epilogue and it's still not enough? Shame on me. But it's true. This is one of the stories that no matter how fucked up it was, it will stick with me and I will never forget Jethro and Nila. And all these other characters. Kes. What can I say about him? I'm thinking about him and I want to cry. He was such a great character. He seemed to be such a great brother and friend to Nila from the first moment she joined them at Hawksridge, that I suspected him. I thought he's too good to be true. Too good to be innocent and not have something under his sleeve. (view spoiler)[ I'm glad to say that this wasn't the case with him. He was really a great character, I loved him a lot and he's one of the characters I'll dearly miss. I cried so much at the last 30% mostly because of him. (view spoiler)[Why this was his ending?? I thought he would survive but I suppose I was asking too much for both of them to survive the gunshot :( Still coping with his death though. (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)] Vaughn & Jas. Two characters that I also liked in the series and loved to see them getting closer in the last books. I loved how they bonded over everything and I wish to see more of them in the future. Both siblings that would do anything for their loved ones. Tex. What a broken man. He was probably the character I felt the biggest pity for him. Knowing what his wife went through and knowing that his daughter had to endour similar suffering and their awful ending? I can't even imagine what went into his psyche. Yes, maybe he could have saved them, maybe not. Hawks were really powerful as it was proven and maybe he wouldn't be able to do this, maybe he could. However, no matter, you can't help but feel sorry for him. Losing a wife like that and then knowing your daughter will have the same cruel destiny. That can break any man. Bonnie. I don't have many things to say about her. Wicked Witch. A hateful old bitch that I can't redeem. She wasn't even a Hawk and yet she brought back the old debts and turned her family into the monsters. A master of the puppets. Cut and Daniel. Fucked up characters. They were two creatures that never felt loved not even by their family. Cut was fucked up because of Bonnie. She manipulated him, making him be the creature he was today, taking his selfish character and turning him into the monster he ended up into. I think Daniel was like him in that aspect. He was the third son, he wasn't planned and he never felt loved. Since he wasn't the rightful heir in their lineage, he spent his life trying too hard, to be the son Cut would be proud of. Just like what Cut was with Bonnie. I felt for them. I can't even believe I;m saying that, because they were both characters I hated. I hated them even in this book, but still couldn't help but feel sorry for them. Somehow, I didn't think that Daniel deserved that ending. (view spoiler)[ He maybe was a monster or destined to be one, but getting eaten by lions, well that was awful. And yes, maybe he was already dead, but come on. It was awful. (hide spoiler)] I might've been stolen. Jethro's plans to save me might be ruined. But I was still alive. Still breathing. I wasn't the naive girl who'd first arrived at Hawksridge. I was a woman in love with a Hawk. A Weaver who would draw Hawk blood. As for Cut, yes he was an awful father, the flashbacks proved that and the present as well. A cruel person who wouldn't mind making his children suffer as long as they would become the people they were destined to be. But underneath the monster there was a human and I was so glad to see those parts of him. (view spoiler)[ His last moments really broke me and I felt so sorry for him. I do believe that maybe what he did wasn't justified, but I do think that he was redeemable. Not everyone will agree with me, but he could have completed the final debt, he would have killed Nila. He could. But he didn't. And in his last moments, he did regretted his life and what he had done. He asked for forgiveness and he showed the human under the monster. And I appreciated that. Even though it made those parts worse for me, because I cried for him. Cried because it was too late. (hide spoiler)] I can't help but think that he truly had felt feelings for Emma and he was like Jethro on this aspect, that he would have loved to help her with the debts, but there was a difference. Emma didn't love him and he was a puppet under Bonnie, so of course their story didn't have the same ending as his son's. I would still love to read their tragic story to get a better insight on these characters. I missed his POV when we saw so many others. Maybe that's why? A hopeful fan can only hope. ;) Overall, this journey has come to an end and I can't say that everything was perfect and I didn't cringe with specific scenes or disagreed and thought how wrong that was. But, I loved this book. It was amazing and I loved every minute of it. Since the first pages the angst and the tension was off the limits. I would notice how early I still am and I would be amazed by the amount of intense actions that would have happened. I wondered how was it possible, but Pepper gave us what we deserved and nothing less. I cried so much at the last 30% of the book. Saying goodbye to these characters wasn't easy. Saying goodbye to this story was bittersweet. I will miss them. Some characters more than others, but I will still miss them. Thank you, Pepper for bringing life into these characters and this story. I'll be forever indebted of you. ARC was kindly provided by TRSOR promotions in exchange for an honest review.

The End Of An Era I absolutely loved the Indebted Series, but have to admit that I am very relieved to see it come to a close. All of the ancient grudges and "debts" take a toll. I know when I read one of her books that I'm going to love it. There isn't even a question about it. Throughout this series, I watched Nila and Jethro transform. Nila grew from a naive, sheltered young lady into a fierce, brave woman. Jethro opened himself back up to others and gained the inner strength needed to stand up to his crazy family. As they grew closer, both became better for their love. However, this last book also provided glimpses of humanity among other characters that were not as easy to care for. While, nothing could have redeemed Cut or Daniel in my eyes, it was enlightening to see tidbits of their pasts which made them the monsters that they became. As for Bonnie, well there just isn't any understanding for a woman so wicked. I don't want to give anything away or ruin this story for anyone, but I will say that the ending was fitting. At times, I felt like the story was dragging on and wanted it to move along quicker. There were some sad moments and some that were cringeworthy, but I was pretty happy with the outcome. Most of my lingering questions were answered, like why both Nila and her mother and grandmother were all taken, if the debt inheritance was passed to the eldest Weaver girl of each generation. That had been bugging me for quite a while, but we finally get an answer. Overall, it was a great conclusion to another fantastic series by Ms. Winters. I'll definitely be reading the 'Epilogue' that follows and the upcoming prequel to close out this series.

Debt Inheritance ★★★★ #2.) First Debt ★★★★ #3.) Second Debt ★★★★★ #4.) Third Debt ★★★★ #5.) Fourth Debt ★ This review is going to have mild spoilers of this train wreck series. I loved this series. As embarrassed as I was, I did. It was unrealistic, predictable, completely over the top, but it worked and I loved it. It was such a guilty pleasure for me, and I ate all the fluff up with a spoon. Then I read Fourth Debt and it just felt like Winters lost steam or was just trying to stretch these plots to fill up six seven books. Regardless, it broke my black little heart, but I did not lose faith. I marked this release in my planner, I was checking my kindle constantly to see when it dropped, and I stayed up way later than my bedtime so I could binge read these 481 pages in the hopes that my guilty pleasure would be avenged. I even said a prayer before starting this book, that it would be different and she would redeem herself and my crazy devotion to this series. Unfortunately, all prayers are not answered and all my ooey-gooey fluff was burnt to a crisp. It got so over the top I felt like I was watching a soap opera with my grandma and her friends. It was seriously on that level. People faking their deaths, people writing letters from the dead, people finding out they have surprise siblings. I felt like a dog just jumping through hoop after hoop while never receiving a treat. I kept telling myself I would, that all this work would be for something good, that all these flashbacks were for a reason, and that it would be reminiscent to the story that I used to love. Nope, just more unnecessary drama for plot filling, pointless information dumps about the past and new terrible banter. “I killed him.” “I know.” “I hated him.” “I know.” “But I loved him, too.” “I understand.” His tongue teased my bottom lip. His heart cracked open and poured everything he’d done. “I hurt him.” “He deserved it.” “I liked it.” “That’s okay.” “I loathed it.” “That’s okay, too.” “Did he deserve it?” “Yes, he deserved to pay.” “He asked for forgiveness.” “Did you give it?” “Yes.” I seriously felt like I was watching an episode of Gilmore Girls (which I love, by the way, just not between Jet and Nila). And let me just say, her mother "the prophet" deserves worst mother of the fucking year award. Like what kind of sick fuck would predict that her child would swoon a man so hard, when she gets abducted later in life, that it will spare her life and end a crazy long family debt? And even if she did believe that, she was totally cool with her daughter getting raped, beat, drowned and worse in the process? Maybe she was having a Miss Cleo moment about how it all worked out, but this was the point in the book where I literally had to take a break, because I lost all hope for this book and this world. What this series also had going for it in its prime was good sex scenes! Honestly some of the best written sex scenes I've read. But now what do we get? People so horny, that even though they are all beaten, bruised and bleeding from almost dying a million times, they can't resist their sexual urges. Therefore, we get a girl giving a one handed hand/blow job in a shower with a cast on her other broken arm. Like, what in the fuck am I even reading? I'm not sure what's sadder, the fact that she is making people pay for a 123 page book 7 epilogue or the fact that I actually bought it so that I could finish this train wreck series once and for all. It seriously feels bad, real fucking bad. Last rant, I promise: What was up with Bonnie's original name being Melanie? Like, can we fucking not have this be a thing? Can I just pretend like that didn't happen or that I didn't read that? It was seriously the cherry on top of this shit sundae.

No I'm not going to spoil a single moment of the book for you. What I will say is it gave me chills, thrills and my heart leaping into my throat. Good ole java wasn't enough for this read, hell to the no, it was a jack and coke night to steady these nerves. I blame it on the excessive use of tissues, I cried...yep bawled like a baby thank you very much. Ms. Winters your exceptional creativity never cease to amazes me! Fantastic story from start to finish, loved the series!

I really enjoyed the twists in this one. And the ending was so beautiful. Definitely recommend this one and the series as a whole.

Jethro Hawk is the black sheep in his family and all he has ever wanted his is fathers approval. So when his dad takes him aside to tell him that, as the oldest son, he is expected to extract the same debts his ancestors did, he takes it as his opportunity to get on his fathers good side. But plans never really go as planned and when he meets Nila, the woman his supposed to eventually kill, all plans get thrown out the window. Lies are told, blood is spilled, and love is forgotten. When I first started this series I was so confused as to how a whole family could really think it made perfect sense to kill someone for what their family did so many years ago. I mean, it's crazy to care that much about what your bloodline did so long ago! But then I kept reading and yes I still think it's batshit insane to think that way, but the story that came from that madness was absolutely amazing and I applaud Pepper Winters for her imagination in writing this. These stories weren't just about two characters stuck in a time loop of murder, they were about every family member involved in these horrendous acts. I started off thinking that I hated every single character other than Nila, but then I slowly came to like them, to trust them even. Am I just as crazy as the Hawks for that? Probably. The Indebted series fucked with my mind for that very reason. Because I couldn't decide who I like and who I hated and I definitely had no idea who I could trust. By the end, everything I thought I knew was proved to be wrong and everything I thought was worth fighting for I then wished dead. I don't really want to say much about the characters and give anything away, but I can say that there was not one single character I disliked. Did I hate many of them, yes. But even with how much I hated them, I loved what they brought to the story. Whether I liked them or hated them (my mind changed many times) they all made me feel very strongly for their character and I think that's what made this such an amazing series. The author didn't just write a dark book for us to read and enjoy, she created this really messed up world and made it so believable that I felt like I was apart of it. Bottom line, this series is one of the best that I have read all year. I cried, I yelled, and I ignored most everything else in my life so that I could read this. I want every single person I know to read this series, even if the darker books aren't for you. That's just how great it was and now that it's over I have not one clue what to do with myself.

Absolutely one of the best I read in 2015! I got to read the four later installements + Epilogue back to back. And what a stunning journey. I don't think I will ever get over this story and how well it blended with my inner psyche. I kind of lived inside the characters' mind and if not a solid proof of how much I loved, enjoyed and understood it. I don't know what is. The Indebted series in a whole is an overwhelming ride through twisted events and even more twisted and unpredictable characters. T Absolutely one of the best I read in 2015! Just die, over and over again... *sigh* yeah, that's exactly where Pepper Winters takes me, or took me...in every single part of the Indebted series I was mad, vivid and my hands were shaking from aggravation and agonizing self- thoughts torture, while my own brain plotted devious crimes against the villains... Then Pepper gave me a resolvement, my own deliverance through Jethro Hawk's action of revenge, puryfication and redemption... and i fuckin loved every tiny second of it... I also, noted to myself, how Jethro and Nila, are both better fictional humans than I would ever be concerning their acts of forgivness towards those shits of fucktards that finally died...deservingly...died... I however, never even considered the option of giving them forgivness...and i stay true to that statement... (I got even annoyed for a bit by all the self-doubt & self-questioning from Nila and Jethro about morality of the actions, yeah well, the acts themselves are but they served the greater good, so I skipped the self-re-evaluation a looooong time ago, probably after book 1) I'd burn their ashes all over again...so, lucky for them, that those fucktards of fucked up villans are in fact just fictional characters after all. The ending... I hold on to those moments...I hold to them firmly, and i will NOT ever let go... the poetry of Pepper Winters words as she writes/rewrites Jethro & Nila's history/future makes me wanna re-live my own... This was our new chapter. Our new story. And we would write every sentence together. Nila Weaver. Jethro Hawk. Two houses. One future… … One family I have to admit, that I only have a tiny circle of characters that,so far, stayed with me after reading...they are memorable for different reasons, and each reason has a firm grasp on my hard loving heart!😈 Jethro Hawk is and will always be one of the few belonging to that circle...yet for reasons I can't put into words for you to understand, you'd need to feel it... I FEEL it.

I can't make myself get back to this book and I'm tired of seeing it on my currently reading shelf so im sliding it over to my DNF shelf. I've lost interest in this series and I'm totally bummed out about it. This was a great series at first but some how it went flat for me. I feel like the last book and this one was just a way to drag out the series. Then I see there is more to it and a spin off. No thanks! Still love PW but I've had all I can take of FD! Bye Jethro:))

It's been 24 hours since I turned the last page of this book (in fact the whole "Indebted" series) and I'm still struggling to put into words how I feel. Spectacular, phenomenal and outstanding are words that just don't seem enough when it comes to describing this work of art, because that's exactly what this was for me... a work of art that I've lived, breathed and felt for the last 15 months. My mind has been blown, my nerves obliterated and my heart completely and utterly shattered. "Final Debt" has got to be one of the best conclusions to a series that I've ever read. Pepper Winters went all out. She really did give it her all and held absolutely nothing back, giving us a story that was so realistic and so true to the characters we'd grown to know, love and even hate in some instances. If you thought the first five books were stomach churningly brutal, think again because with this one, Pepper really did go the extra mile. I was a black and white painting, an enigma, a shivering contradiction. I was numb. I was alive. I was dead. I was reborn. Each and every word I read in this final instalment was powerful and hard hitting, this author's writing so fluid, so poetic that it drew emotions from me without even trying. Jethro and Nila's story came alive right before my very eyes because of those words, ensuring I accompanied this couple on their final journey. I was entranced, mesmerised and captivated by what unfolded before me, the stark contrast between beauty and horror doing little to dissuade me from reading on, if anything, drawing me in further. My breath hitched, my heart thudded, I winced, I shook with nervous anticipation. There were moments I felt lighter, where there were distant glimmers of hope. Where a HEA appeared to be within touching distance but Mrs Winters was not going to make this easy for us, the full force of her darkness rearing it's ugly head when I least expected it. I stopped pining for Jethro. I stopped fearing my future. I stepped into the magic and danced. I read "Final Debt" like a woman starved of words. I had questions, so many questions that needed answering and I had to know what the final outcome would be. Would the Hawks take their pound of Flesh as they always had from the Weavers. Would Nila meet her maker? Well, I really don't know how the author did it but every single one of my questions from the whole series (and trust me there were a few) was answered. No stone was left unturned. Many a history lesson was given, shedding light on so many situations and so many of the characters. In fact, chapters told from the unlikeliest of characters really opened my eyes to so many things. And Jethro, Kes and Jasmine... their history, their story, their background... be prepared for tears, so many tears. As much as this book was full of answers, there were also a whole host of surprise revelations that had me ready to throw my kindle at the wall. WTF??? No way!!!! Holy shit balls!!! were just a few of the comments that past my lips. The characters that I was so desperate to meet their demise were like cats with nine lives and those characters that I held dear were given lifelines that were very quickly snatched away. Who would live? who would die? those were the questions that I craved the answers to. It was cruel. Unjust. Brutal. And dangerous. Good people died. Bad people lived. And the rest of us had to continue surviving. "Final Debt" was a story about freedom and forgiveness, remorse and redemption and guilt and glory. It's a story that will remain with me for years to come. A story so completely out of the norm when it comes to romance but a story of equal brilliance none the less. I have loved this journey that Nila and Jethro have taken me on and I'm absolutely gutted that it's over. "Final Debt" gets ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ from me. She was mine as much as I was hers. Now and for always. Alive or dead. We were one.

Final Debt (Indebted #6) by Pepper Winters 5 stars!! “I closed my eyes. I said goodbye…I waited to die.” So…this is a bittersweet review to write, since August 2014, Pepper Winters has had me hanging on every word, eagerly awaiting this book and yet dreading it at the same time. I said goodbye…I waited to die.” So…this is a bittersweet review to write, since August 2014, Pepper Winters has had me hanging on every word, eagerly awaiting this book and yet dreading it at the same time. When a series is this long and this intense you cannot help but get emotionally attached to the characters and emotionally attached I most certainly was. Even though not all these characters have a heart even the blackest and meanest can sometimes show that there is red blood in there somewhere. This is exactly what Pepper Winters has delivered with painstaking precision over this six book series. Anyone can be redeemed…if they want to. “She was mine as much as I was hers. Now and for always. Alive or dead. We were one.” This was a book of revelations, a history lesson in the genealogy of the Hawks and the Weavers, a battle of survival, redemption and the will they won’t they of the mother of all happy ever afters. Could the Hawks and Weavers ever co-exist without “The Debt.” Could the Debt Inheritance finally be broken or will Cut and Bonnie continue with their reign of terror over their families, the Weavers and the blood diamond industry? So many questions but I’m not answering any of them, you will just have to read for yourself. “The eyes paint an awful picture, Nila, but the mind is far worse.” For Jethro and Nila I wanted retribution, I wanted the evil to be extinguished with as much blood and guts as possible. I wanted them to be on the receiving end of what they had so fondly and happily delivered to all the Weaver women in the past, I wanted them torn from limb to limb. You may say that that is a powerful statement, but it is true. Pepper Winters has a powerful way with words and such is that power that I loathe some of these characters with such fervent passion I want to exact a few debts myself. The trouble with evil is that they seem to be able to dodge anything and everything, with the money behind them they have bought power, they are untouchable, but even the most fearless of warriors have an expiration date…or do they? I was on the edge of my seat waiting for their comeuppance, I was frantically waiting for Pepper to deliver…but did I get what I wished for? “I’m fine.” “You’re not.” “I’ll live.” “You better.” Nila is one of the most strongest female characters I have read about. She was fearless, she was a warrior in her own right, yet she still kept her empathetic side. She could still find the good in the evillest of souls and she wore her heart on her sleeve despite the most awful of circumstances she constantly found herself in. “Don’t let her win.” Jethro Hawk was one person that never belonged at Hawksridge, despite being an empath he had always struggled to live up to what his father expected and once you get the history behind the relationship that he had with his father your eyes will be well and truly opened. Just the fact that he was still alive to tell the tale is a miracle in itself. The fact that he fought so hard to change who he was and couldn’t was heart breaking and the fact of what he had gone through to rid him of his empathetic nature was soul crushing, but he was strong, he was a survivor, he finally had something to fight for and that something was a someone…Nila. “How many times had I asked her to trust me, only to shatter the trust me, only to shatter the trust she bestowed?” This would be a fight to the death and only the strongest survive. Jethro and Nila versus the Hawks was a battle even the bravest wouldn’t have taken on, but when faced with life or death situations at every turn you will be surprised at just how resilient even the strongest of souls can be when the chips are down. “This would kill me. But it had to be done. I stepped into the darkness and prepared to murder.” Pepper Winters really went to town in this book, she poured everything into it. This has to be one of the best conclusions to a series I have ever read…expect the unexpected. Told in multiple POV’s with a few from unexpected characters this book certainly packs a punch with revelations galore, and with some unexpected twists this book will capture every part of your imagination. Vivid descriptions of good and evil will have your heart palpitating for many different reasons, tears of sadness and happiness will flow but most of all you will sit back and reflect on this amazing journey that Pepper Winters has taken you on, a rollercoaster of epic proportions and one that I am incredibly sad to disembark. “I gambled both our lives to save so many more.” The strength of Pepper Winters writing never ceases to amaze me and I will forever be eternally grateful to her for the sheer amount of hours she must have endured in research just to deliver this epic story. The plotting the scheming, the little intricacies that most would take for granted yet once you get the full picture you truly appreciate. Those hours and hours of dedication to this series really shone throughout this series and were totally delivered into the loudest and vivid of crescendos. This was a Pepper Winters masterpiece and she was going out with a bang. “This is not a goodbye; this is a ‘see you soon.’” This is one of my favourite series of all time and while I am sad that it is over I am appeased by the fact that some of the side characters may eventually get a story themselves. This is not written in blood by any stretch of the imagination but a girl can live in hope. So on that note, I am going to stand up and give Pepper Winters a standing ovation, with lots of bravos in there too and many bows. For someone to build up a series so much you always worry that the end will be a let-down but this wasn’t, it was a fitting end to one amazing story and a story that I will never, ever forget. “Dedication versus empathy.” www.theromancecover.com

I have been completely drawn in from start to finish. This was the final book in the series… and alas the Final Debt. So much pain, so much evil in this family, I couldn’t imagine how she was going to get out of this predicament. We were linked. Joined by fate and history and destiny. Star-crossed, doomed from the start, absolutely forbidden lovers. This is not a review where I can lay out the plot for you. If you’re considering this series, You will have to start with book one. The story spans back generations and involves an on-going dispute between two families. Two families ruled by wealth and corruption, power and revenge, and the innocent lives caught in the sadistic tradition of extracting payment for crimes long dead. How can it go on, how can they continue to destroy the lives of innocent people? Nila Weaver has been through so much. She has suffered dearly. And yet she won’t give up hope. It is up to her to stop this madness. She was counting on the man she loves to end this God-forsaken hell she was living. But it appears now, she must do this alone. I'd done what I needed to even though it almost broke me. I had nothing left to fear. I have been on the edge of my seat since this series started. Just when you think you’ve heard it all… alas it gets worse. So much pain. So much hate. It can't end badly, can it? Good people died. Bad people lived. And the rest of us had to continue surviving. I was told by a few friends, “you will like this book.” And they were right. But they failed to mention, that there would be pain. More pain….. fuck. I want this over. And I want the evil to suffer… Ok, now about this vendetta. I can see how some may not buy it. Where the question of feasibility comes into question… Well, of course this isn’t feasible. But it is fiction. And damn good fiction. I know it’s not for everyone. It is dark. But honestly, I couldn’t put these books down. Pepper Winters, you are a talented writer. And I am not easily swayed. But there was on thing I would have done differently... Ok…enough said. If you like intriguing stories… dark romance… you will love this! But you must start from the beginning. And keep in mind, it will be a painful journey. “I let him hold me. I let him shake and shudder. Time held no meaning as we existed in each other’s embrace and fed each other with love and togetherness. I would hold him for the rest of my life and ensure he never felt anything but acceptance, adoration, and unconditional love.” On to the epilogue…. ready for some happy.

It is hard to say the word "hero" in the same sentence as Jethro because of the dark nature of this series, but trust me, he truly becomes the man he is meant to be in Final Debt. And the Epilogue? Pure gold. I was completely and utterly satisfied with the way the author concluded this series. My emotions were all over the place while reading this last book and the Epilogue. At times I was fearful that the worst would happen, and at other times I was hoping against hope that Nila and Jethro would overcome all of the dark forces that conspired against them. To say this book is an emotional roller coaster is an understatement. The historical-romance-themed tone of this series again shines through in this book and I am THRILLED at the announcement of a related book about William Hawk! The only thing that would make me happier is if these books were made into a movie or television series. Expect LOTS of surprises in this incredibly satisfying conclusion to the Indebted Series. My heart is breaking a little at saying goodbye to Jethro and Nila.

The Hawks were fed with history that makes them evil, deep inside there lies kindness. I feel sorry for Daniel for seeking attention but remained unloved that darkness and anger entirely consumed him. For Jasmine being crippled because of her abusive father. For Kes hurting for saving his brother. For Cut being brainwashed by his own mother making him a monster and a bad father to his children and most of all, For Jethro being forced to feel things against his will making him stone cold...until Nila Weaver (Nila - she's so fearless. I really like her). For Bonnie….No, I don't feel sorry for this cruel bitch. Out of all the characters in this series, Kes is my favorite. The selfless, loyal brother. My Kestrel. (view spoiler)[I'm going to miss this boy. So much. (hide spoiler)] Overall, I liked the ending. I just honestly think the entire story dragged on. It could have been shortened and there are parts that I find unnecessary. Still, Nila and Jethro's story is a good conclusion. I still love Pepper Winters and her dark romance novels. They're gritty and addictive. :)

So which generation was it? 2. "Bonnie was a born Hawk" (stated on her own Facebook page)... Nope, here she married into the family. 3. "The Weavers were beheaded by ax" ... No wait, guillotine! (invented well after the first debt inheritance, but who cares about facts?) I can just imagine Pepper thinking "Hey, both have at the very least got sharp blades, so nobody will notice, right!?" Riiiiiiight. 4. Why would the Hawks feel the need to smuggle their own diamonds into England when they've got the law, the prime ministers AND the crown in their pockets? Plus; you can import the gems legally even when you're not best buds with England's finest! Makes.No.Sense. And Pepper: When you did your googling, did you never stumble upon a page that said that testimonies given under torture cannot be trusted because people will say ANYTHING to make the pain go away? Yet, your Disney villain character suddenly turns remorseful... For REALSIES? Well, here is my reply to that particular scene: Speaking of villains: You had one final chance to explain their motivations, to make me understand them. When you decided to write their POV'S I thought you'd at least TRY to redeem yourself. I should have known better. "Prophetic Emma"? Talk about tstl storyline. I'm almost tempted to award Pepper an extra star just because she realised how dumb Emma sounded, and had Cut behead her as punishment for her stupidity. (view spoiler)[ Clearly, opting to stay with him would have been a better choice. Emma would have had a long time to persuade the man who loved her to spare Nila too, but who cares about logic? No, EMOTION is key! (hide spoiler)] To top of your terrible story, Pepper, you offed the one good thing about the story. (view spoiler)[ Kes! (hide spoiler)] FINAL THOUGHTS ON FINAL DEBT: Congratulations, Pepper. You made it to the very top of my worst reads of 2015 list.

The end is here. That's one of those things that I knew even though it was coming, I wasn't prepared for. Let me start by saying that I am a major fan of Pepper Winters. I have been since I first read Tears for Tess. I knew that when she first announced she was doing a multi book storyline about a woman named Nila and a man named Jethro that I was going to be in for a rollercoaster of emotions. Let me say she did not disappoint. We are at the end and all I can say is that it's everything I wanted and possibly more. It is impossible for me to say what happens in this book without spoiling it for anyone and I refuse to spoil it. So let me do my best. After Fourth Debt we saw that Jethro and Nila had made plans. Those plans were abrubly changed without Jehtro being able to put their plan into action. This book takes us on the rest of the journey. The journey that is Nila standing as tall and as strong as she possibly can. You watch this woman fight tooth and nail not just for a man that she loves with every fiber of her being, litteraly for her own life. One wrong step, one poorly timed decision and there will be no more Nila. To watch her know what her gate is and to try to change it. To try and save herself, Jethro, Vaughn and her father, it is astounding. Then we have Jethro. Jethro is a man who has tried his hardest to be everything his father wanted in a son. He tried to be the perfect son, the perfect brother and the perfect business man. But he is not perfect. No one is. Jethro has flaws, and even a condition that makes him feel more. In this book we find him try his best to capture those emotions. Not to bottle them up, but to use them to his advantage. As Nila is fighting for her life, Jethro fights for his own. He's fighting to keep himself and Nila alive. He has finally found the love he never thought he was worthy of and he will fight to keep what he deserves. By the end of this book you will find out the fates all the characters you love and hate. This book will have you screaming at the pages in anger, in fear, in love, in pain and just because it's over. Never have I been so thoroughly exhausted from reading a book. It's not my eyes that were tired but my soul. Pepper has out done herself. This is by far one of the best books I will read this year. If you want to have an experience read this series. Just be prepared for...well you can be prepared. You'll never know what awaits in the world of debts.

Final Debt is the final story in the Indebted Series and my greedy little hands just gobbled this up the instant it appeared on my kindle. Its like each story has gotten better than the last and you think it cannot get more intriguing and BAM! Yep, its sucks you right in. It turned out how I thought it would however, I was still surprised on how much it still had twists and turns to keep it at its best. I so wanted to jump though the pages to save our Nila and Jethro. You just have no idea how invested you get with these characters until at that moment when the unthinkable happens you just cry and break. I cried for witnessing sorrow. I cried because I had loved and lost. I cried for having guilt when at times I shouldn't have felt that way. I cried for revenge that should be met. I just cried because of this overwhelming ache that I had in my heart for these characters. Just....all the feels. I just got so absorbed within the story that I felt like a secondary character that was looking in. I just love that! This for me was by far one of the most ingenious stories that I have ever read. The detail in the storyline was at its best. I dont expect nothing less from Pepper. She really honestly has a way about her stories and her characters that just pull you in and you never want to let go. One thing that is for sure, she is one of my top authors that just cannot go wrong in my eyes. Reviewed by Shay from Mommys a Book Whore

Is it possible for a book to shake your soul, grab your guts, and hit your heart so hard that you feel your emotions bleeding long after the story is over? If it is an Indebted series story by Pepper Winters, then, yes, you’ve been through the soul-slashing sensory-sweep. Indebted #6: Final Debt is a dark, delicious, and devastatingly beautiful book that not only is an emotional roller coaster of a romantic read, but a twister of a tornado straight through your soul. While I devoured each previous book in the Indebted series in one sitting, I inhaled Final Debt in small doses to give my heart time to slow its beating, my body time to slow its breathing, and my brain time to compress the magnitude of twists and turns this story evokes. I could not put this captivating story down, yet I had to do so a few times to calm my emotions from this story’s sensory storm. I wept at the ‘what ifs’ and cried hopeful tears for the future. Final Dept, like Cut to Nila, is my captor---stealing my body, mind, and heart. Taking my thoughts and replacing them with everything Hawk and Weaver. Binding me to every breathtaking and brilliant word. Intense, heart-shattering, and soul-wrenching, Final Debt makes you feel---it tears your heart wide open, shatters it, and then slowly puts the pieces back together only to break them again and again. You’ll cry like you lost your best friend or even soulmate. Shake your head and scrunch your face in angst, as you try to grasp the swings from this pendulum of penned plot perfection. Smile like there is hope because that is what you grasp through this gut-wrenching read, as hope dangles at the edge of a cliff, taunting you as you pray to the Pepper gods for a happy ending. With Jet formulating a plan to overtake the Hawks, Kes still fighting for his life, and no one left to protect Nila, she is on her own and must muster strength even though her soul is torn apart from the doom and devastation constantly bestowed upon her. She must think outside the box and focus on survival. Deviant Daniel Hawk is lurking in the shadows like a dangerous predator, waiting to attack his prey. Nila is fighting a war that may not be won---especially she is the prey to multiple predators waiting to devour her as quickly as the dastardly debts. “I didn’t have bullets or blades, but I did have my namesake. Hadn’t I promised I would become a needle rather than thread?” Jet has to act fast if there is any hope of saving Nila. Tick tock. Tick tock. Time is the biggest enemy as Nila’s life is at the greatest risk as the final debt hangs over her head. “Six days. My father wanted to kill the love of my life in six f**ing days. My plan had just escalated. I will stop this.” A sick game, the slightest deviation or incorrect move could seal Nila's fate before the final debt and leave her with more questions than answers. "I have news for you. Whatever plans you think you have, whatever backbone you think you've grown, and whatever revenge you think you'll deliver---forget all of it. You're done..There is no one here who will save you---including yourself." Hope is but a thread of possibility as Nila closes in on the final debt. Dangling off the edge of a cliff, hope may be but a mere grasp as it could fly away like a kite, lost forever. You pray that hope is not replaced with a crude reality of loss and destruction, and that Jet and Nila get their hard-fought happy ending. With the Indebted series of shockers, you just never know. “Because this was it. The end. There would be no going back from here. No second chances. They would take from me. Tear apart everything I had to give. And I hoped to God I would take from them before it was over.” Like a warrior woman, Nila readies to battle Cut and his puppet, Daniel. She must fight tooth and nail for her life, a future with Jet, and for all of the Weaver women the Hawks decimated before her. It is redemption time, and revenge has never tasted so sweet. “I wasn’t the naïve girl who’d first arrived at Hawksridge. I was a woman in love with a Hawk. A Weaver who would draw Hawk blood. It’s not over.” You'll fall in love with the Final Debt just like you’ve done with the others, praying that this modern day Romeo and Juliet story has a better ending than the Capulets and the Montagues. The Indebted series experience is like watching a nail-biter of a horror-thriller-romance movie, sitting on the edge of your seat, waiting for the next fearful moment and jammed-packed piece of action to happen all while a steamy love scene or sweet memory in between the fast, furious, and fearful moments. An adrenaline rush. An adventure. An addiction. Crack for the dark and decadent-loving book whore. As I bask in the bittersweet feelings of sadness and happiness that mark the end of an era of the most emotional-wielding series ever, the Indebted series by the incredibly talented Pepper Winters, I can’t help but want more. I don’t know if I’ll ever get enough of the series that shook me, broke me, thrilled me, and enthralled me as the Indebted series will stay with my heart and in my head forever. I’m indebted to this final debt. I’m indebted to this sensational series. I’m indebted to the wonderful writer, Pepper Winters, who gave readers this great gift and the kind of story that’s treasured forever. 5 dark, delicious, and soul-searing stars, though worth way more
